Description

This Mouse Cadherin-12 ELISA Kit is intended for quantitative detection of mouse Cadherin-12 in cell culture supernates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA). Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.
This mouse Cadherin-12 ELISA Kit is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from rat specific for Cadherin-12 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards (Expression system for standard: NSO, Immunogen sequence: L18-A716) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for Cadherin-12 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB are used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the mouse Cadherin-12 amount of sample captured in plate.
The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from rat, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: Cadherin-12 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CDH12 gene. It is mapped to 15 A2; 15 8.25 cM. This gene encodes a member of the cadherin family of calcium-dependent glycoproteins that mediate cell adhesion and regulate many morphogenetic events during development. The encoded preproprotein is further processed to generate a mature protein. This gene is expressed in both the excitatory and inhibitory neurons in various areas of the adult central nervous system including the cerebellum, neocortex, hippocampus and in different subcortical nuclei. Multiple distinct genes of the cadherin family, including this gene, are found on chromosome 15
